So last night was our graduation day and the prom was held at SAFRA Jurong. Honestly the location is kinda turn-off but i think it's okay since it's near to our houses and it will definitely be cheaper than those posh hotels~ As usual, a slopy person like me did not get any suit therefore i had to digged out clothes from my wardrobe to attend the event. Oh ya, actually i did bought something -- the black blazer lol but still i felt super retarded cuz i didnt prepare anything and when i see twitter, everyone were all prepared!

nuff' said, i shall post some photos i took with my buddies in school!! okay, teachers too lol.

Yeap so that sums up yesterday night! Bascially all i was doing was eat -> take photo -> eat -> take photo. HAHA, can't believe i've graduated already, 5 freaking long years!!!! I wish everyone all the best and goodluck in their future endeavours! I enjoyed my night! :)

I'm not one of those who can easily hide.

Have you ever wonder why do we study? I think we have this mentality that if we don't study hard enough and achieve good results, we are pretty much useless. Today, Mr Leung had a saying. How do we define success? Is securing 8 A1s means success and failing to pass O's a failure? It actually had me thinking, yes it is crucial to have a good result so that we can move on however is that all? I think life itself has more than just study study and study. Every individual is pretty much different but most of us got overshadowed by so called our priority, academic results. We like to do what we love, we have our passion but i guess no one really supported you for it, right? Living through our childhood being told that the things we love will bring you to nowhere and over time we actually forget what we really want.

All i want to say is, or maybe i am just trying to console myself.. If we fail to clear or achieve what we want, it is not the end, it will never be the end if we choose to go on. All of us have our talents and shortcomings, if we fail here today, it doesn't mean that we can't find success elsewhere! What's important is that we have the skills that we acquired over the years to bring us far! Study is important, but it is not ALL.

Jurong Lake Run 2013

Hey guys, i'm here to reminisce for the past few days. It's rare that i have such a long weekend so ofcuz must slack slack slack right! Haha, anyway i just finished my first prelim and i can hereby announce that i have pretty much flunk badly. Oh man, i mean those papers were really really very tough.. Sometimes i wonder was the paper really hard or i'm just plain stupid. Really. So difficult.
                     

LOLLL sorry for my random face! Its just that i couldnt find any photos to link with what i gonna say next haha. Anyway, i've collected our first tee with JAMYL! Went to Queensway to collect it last Friday and let me tell you the shirt was designed by us! I think it's not bad since we were first timers~ The shirt quality was also better than expected so all is cool wooh!

So went to volunteering work for Jurong Lake Run 2013 last Saturday. Went with Yongle, Liangjun and Boonsing in search of clearing our boredoms. Met at Jp, had a quick bite and train-ed to yc. Met up with the rest then walked to Chinese Garden yo.

Apparently, when we first arrived, we were bought to a long queue to register, i mean like wth i thought the school already did it for us? So nvm when registering they said we don't have a team code and blahblahblah end up all we had to do is to wait so yeah, slacked at the tent waiting for dk what. I think the event itself is well organised however they neglected the volunteers. After waiting for few hours, we were supposed to retrieve our tees and bags and ya' know cuz we are the last few, we only had Ls for the girls and XLs for the guys. Basically, i looked like Snoop Dog when wearing the tee. Bad times come good measurements, haha tied my shirt like hell and i solved the super super oversized tee!

I shall skip what i did since all i did was pour water into cups haha~ After that hang around there for it to end so that we can collect our allowance. Kept eating food that were given by fiona and ciaoxin lol thank god for the food cuz i was dying of hunger. And yay waited for like forever for dismissal and rushed home to sleep!! I think i had fun and gained good experience there! :)

Through the eyes of someone else

Everyone has their weak spot. Everyone has something they are afraid of. In order for us to hide our fragility and protecting us from getting hurt, we often hides under our mask. A mask that somehow brings a sense of security to us. Sometimes because of this, people misinterpret it as being double-face or even being a hypocrite. I think people should understand that most people are not double-face and not all are negative! It's just a skill that they acquired since young. I know we are suppose to be ourselves at all times but reality is that we still need to suck it up and treat people differently. To prevent from getting scoldings from our teachers, we have to act like a good child infront of them, but are you like that when you are with your friends? Yes, this is how it works. When we face people we don't like, we automatically transform into another us, to show our displeasure and vice-versa when we see our love ones. It's just a natural reaction. I just think many people are confuse between potraying ourselves to people and putting up a facade to people. Unless you are doing bad deeds, i think it's normal for everyone to have their own 'mask'.

Saw this quote while browsing through the net, "What is more tragic is not the inability to pull off one’s mask but forgetting that one is still wearing it." Sometimes, the problem lies within ourselves.

I know it's crazy to believe in silly things.

But it's not that easy.

I think humans are weird. When we give them some sort of privilege, they choose to abuse it, and when you don't, they start to complain. I'm not pointing out anyone cuz i know i am one too. I guess it's just human nature for us to take things for granted. As much as us loving to be selfish, i think at the same time we should know our limits. You all know askfm is a social network site right? Just like facebook and twitter. People created it, maybe to ease their boredom but i'm sure they want people to know more about them and also interested in what people think of them. It is a social platform. The only difference between askfm and the latter is that they can act as an anonymous. Yes, that gives us the liberty to ask any/every questions to the owner without getting recognised. But because of this, people decide to put it into bad use. You decided to post hate comments, insults, bad words. They not only target at the person but also their family. I think they should put themselves into other people's shoes. What if they are the victim? What if they see their family members got insulted for nothing? What if one day they wake up, realising that they got scolded overnight for nothing? Yes, i know eveyone has their freedom of speech, then why not showing your name? Post it out on facebook/twitter instead. If you dont have the guts to do so, then stop it. I just think that its getting out of hand and i see my friends and myself all suffering from this. I think it's a sad case when people in this world all starts to chicken-up(lol i dont think have such word.), if so there will no longer have any justice left in this world.

Not that you can't do it, just have some self-control. Everything has its limits.

Zoe's 17th Birthday!

 

Went to Bugis to celebrate Zoe's birthday yesterday! It was quite a random plan and it was rather awkward steamboat session to me haha.

Met jiaxiang and fiona at jurong east and train-ed down to bugis. And as usual, i thought we were late but there'll always be people that are even later!! *hinting somebody* lol.

 Upon reaching, went to meet up with xiuwen and then headed to mac to lepak haha. Waited for those drag queens(wenxin, zoe, lerfann, jiayi, eldridge) for 1hour+ and went for steamboat!!! Okay, so apparently that's the only photo i got of us at the shop so yeah!

Ate there for around 3 hours before heading home. I think the shop is damn dirty and the food is just... hmm idk.. haha to me every food is yummy!
